GRP Enclosures

These robust and fully weatherproof GRP Enclosures are available in any size configuration. Designed specifically to meet individual customer requirements, GRP Enclosures offer a highly adaptable answer to many housing problems.

Thanks to our innovative GRP manufacturing techniques, we can create kiosks up to 30m in length, 7m in width, and approximately 4m in height. For larger GRP Enclosures, we use a modular panel design approach, allowing us to overcome mould size limitations and deliver custom-sized solutions.

GRP Enclosures Common Applications

Construction

The wall and roof panels of our GRP Kiosks are carefully crafted to meet your specifications. Typically, these panels feature a FSC Certified UKTR legally verified hardwood plywood core, encapsulated in fire-retardant resin and chopped strand mat fiberglass. Moreover, for larger kiosks, we add extra reinforcements, such as steel, to ensure they meet structural requirements.

Thermal Properties of GRP Enclosures

Standard GRP Enclosure construction will provide an insulation U value of 2.2 W/m2/oC, Increased levels of insulation up to 0.3 W/m2/oC could be attained by incorporating encapsulated foam into the construction.

Fire Protection

Fire retardant resin is used to form a self extinguishing laminate to BS476 Part 7 Class 2 (Surface spread of flame). Standard panels will provide a minimum 30 min Fire Resistance to BS476 Part 22. Increased levels of protection can be offered if required.

Doors

We offer a wide variety of single, double, and multi-leaf outward opening doors in numerous sizes. Our advanced manufacturing techniques enable us to position doors anywhere within the GRP Kiosk walls. These doors are built similarly to wall panels, with added steel reinforcement to prevent warping. For improved accessibility, removable or hinged transoms and removable door sills can be added. Additionally, roller shutter or uPVC doors are available upon request.

Standard fittings include vandal-resistant stainless steel hinges and automatic hold-open stays. Double doors are equipped with internal spring bolts to secure the passive door leaf. Cylinder night-latch locks come as standard, though a wide range of other door locking systems are also available.

Ventilation & Air Conditioning

Various levels of natural ventilation are available as integrated features in the GRP Enclosure walls or roof. We offer a range of vent types, including stainless steel louvre vents, galvanised steel louvre vents, uPVC brick vents, and aluminium powder-coated louvre vents, all supplied with internal screens. Forced ventilation, such as fans or air conditioning, can also be incorporated. Additionally, external GRP weatherproof cowls can be fitted if required. For more details and design calculations on natural and forced ventilation, please contact our project team.

Integral Floors

We offer a wide variety of floor options to suit different needs. These include GRP single membrane floors for smaller GRP Enclosures, composite load-bearing floors, and steel sub-frames for larger GRP Enclosures. All steel sub-frames are fabricated in-house in our steel fabrication department and are supplied as standard with certified integral lifting points. They are shot blasted, zinc primed, and painted to BS5493 Table 3 Part 3 specifications.

Windows

An extensive range of viewing windows are available. Options include standard toughened or laminated safety glass, or double glazed aluminium and uPVC windows.

Available Colours and Finishes for GRP Enclosures

Our standard external GRP finish is a smooth gel-coat, providing outstanding chemical and weather resistance in harsh environments. We also offer alternative external finishes, such as simulated brick and simulated stone, which are often chosen for their environmental benefits in today’s increasingly eco-conscious world. Our standard internal finish is a white fire retardant resin. Other internal finishes are available on request.

All external finishes are available in an extensive range of colours from the RAL or BS5252 range. These colours can be viewed at our supplier website:
