Our engineers will be able to provide complete technical appraisals and support to ensure your Acoustic GRP Building satisfies your sound attenuation requirements.
Variables such as kiosk size, location, apertures, penetrations, frequency and sound levels are all critical in evaluating the construction required. Most Acoustic GRP Buildings will provide a 24dB(A) noise reduction over an octave band centre frequency of 31.5Hz to 8KHz, however sound attenuation up to 40dB(A) could be achieved. If required acoustic tests can be carried out by independent experts to demonstrate the attenuation levels attainable.
Acoustic GRP Buildings Construction
The wall and roof panel construction of all Acoustic GRP Buildings is dependent on customer specifications, required noise attenuation and building size. Wall panels and roofs are manufactured with integral sound absorbing materials to reduce the noise transference from inside to out.
Doors
Single and double leaf outward opening doors are available in an extensive range of sizes. Our manufacturing methods allow us to locate the doors anywhere in the Acoustic GRP Building walls. Doors are constructed in a similar manner to wall panels, but have additional steel reinforcement to prevent warping.
Door Furniture
Vandal resistant heavy duty stainless steel (grade 316) hinges and stainless steel automatic hold open stays are fitted as standard. Double doors are fitted with internal spring bolts to restrain the passive door leaf. Cylinder night-latch locks are fitted as standard, however a comprehensive range of door locking systems are also available. All acoustic doors are fitted with high and low clamp latches, complete with compressing seals and aluminium ‘T’ sections surround.
Ventilation
Different levels of natural ventilation are available as integral parts of the Acoustic GRP Building wall or roof. Standard acoustic vents include internal GRP baffle boxes designed specifically to reduce the noise emitted through the ventilation aperture, whilst also maintaining the required ventilation levels. External GRP weatherproof cowls are also fitted to further reduce the noise. Further details and design calculations on natural and forced ventilation can be obtained from our design team.
